FanaLab and the Fanatec App on a Mac
The short answer: none of Fanatec's software talks to your wheel base from a Mac. There is a Fanatec App listed on the Mac App Store, but it is a companion to a Windows PC, and Fanatec's own description marks the features you would actually want as PC only.
Three names, and where each one stands

There is no macOS build of any of them that connects to a wheel base.
But there is a Fanatec App on the Mac App Store
There is, and it is genuinely from Fanatec: published by Corsair Memory, Inc. and listed for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision. The Mac listing requires macOS 12.0 or later and a Mac with an M1 chip or later.
It is a companion app, not a driver. The two features a wheel base owner would care about are tagged in Fanatec's own App Store description:
- "Control Tuning Menu settings wirelessly from your phone while driving (PC only)"
- "Use your phone as a racing display with Fanatec Intelligent Telemetry Mode (PC only)"
In other words it changes your tuning menu by talking over the network to a Windows PC that is talking to your base. Take the PC away and what remains is news, support tickets and a QR code scanner. If you own a Mac and a PlayStation and no Windows machine, it does nothing for your hardware.

TorqSmith is not a replacement for everything Fanatec's software does. It does the settings half, natively, and that is the half you reach for between sessions.
What TorqSmith does not do
- LED and display customisation, the part of FanaLab people miss most.
- Per-game automatic profile switching.
- Telemetry of any kind.
- Pedal and shifter calibration, which is in progress and will be free.
- Firmware updates, which are the subject of their own page.
